🏭 Using the Crypto Factor dApp with MetaMask

💡 What is Crypto Factor?​

Crypto Factor is a decentralised infrastructure platform for Web3. The dApp offers the following features on DeFiMetaChain:

💡 cDFI Community Staking allows DeFiChain users to receive a cAsset receipt token "cDFI" and stake it to earn native DeFiChain Masternode rewards.

✅ Requirements​

Before using the dApp, make sure you have:

  • MetaMask installed (browser extension)
  • DeFiMetaChain network added to MetaMask
  • DFI or CFR tokens in your wallet
  • Some DFI for transaction fees (gas)

⚠️ Without DFI for gas, no transactions can be made – even if you hold CFR or cDFI!

🔌 Step 1 – Open the dApp & Connect Wallet​

1.1 – Open the dApp​

Open your browser and go to the official Crypto Factor dApp:

https://dapp.crypto-factor.io/staking

⚠️ Always type the URL manually! Phishing sites imitate dApps with similar addresses.

1.2 – Connect Your Wallet​

Click "Connect Wallet" on the homepage.

A popup will appear with wallet options. Select "MetaMask".

1.3 – Confirm the Connection in MetaMask​

MetaMask will open automatically and ask you to approve the connection:

  1. Check the displayed website address – it must be dapp.crypto-factor.io
  2. Select the account you want to connect
  3. Click "Connect"

✅ Your wallet address will now appear in the top right of the dApp – you are connected!

🪙 Step 2 – Use CFR Staking​

2.1 – Open the Staking Page​

Click "Staking" in the navigation menu.

You will see your current CFR balance, the current APR and your staked tokens.

2.2 – Stake CFR​

  1. Enter the amount of CFR you want to stake
  2. Click "Stake"
  3. MetaMask will open with a transaction request
  4. Check the gas fees (in DFI)
  5. Click "Confirm"

⏳ The transaction will be confirmed on the blockchain within a few seconds.

2.3 – Claim Rewards​

Earned rewards are shown under "Rewards" or "Claim".

Click "Claim" → confirm in MetaMask → rewards are transferred to your wallet.

💎 Step 3 – Use cDFI Community Staking​

cDFI Staking lets you earn Masternode rewards without running your own Masternode.

3.1 – Deposit DFI & Receive cDFI​

  1. Navigate to the cDFI Staking section
  2. Enter the amount of DFI you want to deposit
  3. You will receive cDFI at a 1:1 ratio (minus mint fee)
  4. Click "Mint" or "Deposit"
  5. Confirm the transaction in MetaMask

💡 DFI is swapped for cDFI (1:1), the staked token is cDFI, and rewards are paid out in DFI.

3.2 – Stake cDFI​

  1. Enter the amount of cDFI
  2. Click "Stake"
  3. Confirm in MetaMask

3.3 – Receive Rewards​

Rewards come from Masternode earnings and are distributed automatically. Click "Claim" to collect them.

3.4 – Redeem cDFI (Withdraw)​

  1. Click "Withdraw" or "Unstake"
  2. Enter the amount of cDFI
  3. Confirm in MetaMask
  4. DFI will be returned after the waiting period

⚠️ Note waiting period: Redeeming cDFI may take time, as Masternodes must first be resigned once the threshold is reached.
